I was also amazed at how easy it was to work with you. Due to a covid-related issue, we had to rearrange our original plans for ceremony music. I remember that it was a stressful time and Anya recommended your singing as an option; we made contact with you literally 3 days before the wedding (for a wedding that we had been planning for a year) to organise it all. You got on board quickly, learned one of our favourite songs within 2 days and delivered a great performance on the evening.

On the day, Nate & Thea, both impeccably dressed, turned up early to set up and learn the venue and showed true appreciation of the occasion. Of course, they totally swept everyone off their feet with their amazing performance and truly made our magical venue/set up come to life! Even our DJ wanted to delay his set to hear more from Nate & Thea. To top it all off, as their last song, Nate & Thea performed Winehouse's 'Valerie' at my request which had some keen guests dancing (sober even!) and broke the ice for everyone.

Nate and Thea have been the best to work with right from the start, helping us navigate our curiosities and working with us to achieve the setting and music we needed for our special day. As a bride, I thought I knew what I needed and wanted, but Thea was an absolute gem who knew exactly how to come to decisions and figure out what our priorities were for our ceremony and reception.

Throughout the entire process, they have been a pleasure to plan with, so understanding, and passionate and as the days counted closer, we could not wait to see them perform for us. Knowing how important it was to have live music for our ceremony was definitely a key decision that I am glad we made to have Nate and Thea be part of such a core memory. To top it all off, we were honoured to have them both stay to join us for the reception and to be a part of more of our wedding as the night went on.

All in all, we would highly recommend Nate and Thea for any type of event one may be planning and so happy that we were able to give them both a weekend away on Waiheke, doing what they love as we celebrated love.

We are so glad we asked Nate and Thea to play at our wedding. Their accompaniment to our walk down the aisle made the moment one we will always remember; emotional, rom-com-like romantic yet intimate. Nate and Thea truly blessed us on our wedding day. We first saw them performing at the Glasshouse open night and knew we absolutely had to have them at our special day. They played as people arrived at the reception and over dinner. We had so many guests come up to us raving about how beautiful they sounded and what a lovely touch it was.

This song isn’t typically part of their repertoire, but recognizing its significance to us, they went above and beyond to learn and flawlessly execute the piece. This effort made our first dance into an unforgettable heartfelt moment that made us cry. Their ability to infuse their style into this genre truly highlights their musical gift, surpassing the quality of any other artist’s cover. As fans of The Lumineers, we truly believe the band will love Nate and Thea’s rendition of the song.
